What was the Pharisee Church?

The church - the ECCLESIA or set apart ones - didn’t start with Jesus or even the disciples. It connotes the people of God who were around for hundreds of years before that.

Before Jesus died the most prominent of them were called Pharisees.

They were the group that played the leading part in having him crucified.

They were a distinct group, but also they represent a mindset, a mindset that lives on in the Christian church.

Then … and now.
